How I ended up with G.T.W.net!Hello!
About Me:My name is Charalambos Rossides. I am from Cyprus, a small island in the eastern Mediterranean Sea. I was born in 1989 and I lived there until 2009. Now, I am studying at the National Technological University of Athens, and that is the reason I moved to Greece. If you want to learn more details about me and how I created this site, just read forward.
My first steps Truth is I have always loved two things: Technology and Nature! In fact, I didn't know it at first, but I started discovering it at my early school years. Technology used to be my favourite subject, while I loved playing at the backyard of my house. When our teacher needed pupils to clean the local park or when the school organised "green events" like tree plantings etc. I would always be the first to volunteer.Getting Older As time went by, I loved to help my grandparents lopping their trees along with the other farming activities. Thus, I learned a lot of things about nature and how do things interlock. I got interested and learned how does technology get involved in nature. How can it help preserve natural beauty or how it can destroy it.
NowGradually, I became more active. I got enrolled in a mountain rescue team and helped to preserve nature in several ways. I have also volunteered in different cleaning operations either at the mountains or under the sea. Finally, I decided to combine my two great loves and study electrical and computer engineering, focusing on the renewable energy technology designs.
Why did I build this Site?Well, As I have told you before, I love nature. Thus, I was looking for a way to help preserving the planet. I needed a means able to reach lots of people. Bingo! it's the Internet. But how can I create a website that attracts lots of people? Most of the new sites fail before they even get online... Fortunately, I found that great web-hosting service, which helped me transmit what I know to the whole world!
About You: G.T.W.net is intended to become a huge community of people who struggle to save our planet. It's for you who enjoy a walk at the mountains, It's for you who love looking at the sea for hours, It's for you who hate natural destruction and pollution.
